wow unbelievable great guy great store people need to support the brick and mortar

This is so very true...I know we all trade and sell frags but we also cannot forget that we have to support these stores, especially the diamonds in the rough.

Menard, I hope you continue to contribute here on the forums, very sorry to hear of your store closing. Best of luck to you and your family.

This is terrible news. I have to say that if it wasn't for Menard, I wouldn't have a tank(s) in my house now. The amount of help that he has given me and information that he has passed on is immeasurable.
Thank you Menard for everything and good luck!

Thanks for Everything Menard. :)

Manny, Jose and I (Ryan) will miss stopping by on our lunch breaks and after work. Good luck and take care!

You have been awesome. I really will miss your store. At least we can still come by your house to get frags!

Sincerely,
Drew

:( Menard, Sorry that you have to do this! :(

I stopped by to visit today and saw several CMAS people at Reef Dweller, everyone expressing the same thing being said here.

If you want to help Menard get through this quickly and get some absolutely awesome deals on coral frags and colonies, you need to get to his place this weekend!

I also echo these comments. It costs money to maintain a brick & mortar location and we need to support them.

Menard, Thanks for the good advice and great corals. I'll look forward to visiting for some frags from the mother reef!

Just came fom there and he set me up. Reef Dweller was almost walking distance from my home. Happy to see that Menard will not be confined to the burden of a retail setting and hours though. Seems unnecessary for a guy like Menard to keep a retail operation/hours. People in the hobby will seek out this master and his coral wherever and whenever he is available. I know Ill try.

Menard I wanted to say THANKS for all the stufffff my wife picked up tonight,I'm sorry to hear the sad news.We loved coming and going through your sweet cherry picking vats.Thank you for all your advise, help and your willness to help anyone no matter what thier level of expirence.I know and I understand that you will stay on the borads, yet your shop will be missed. PEACE

is he going to be open sunday? I want to go up there and see if he can hook me up with some starter corals(if anything is left). Im sorry that i do not get to enjoy this store since im barely starting out. Could anyone pickup extra corals? i dont even know if i can make it there before he closes. Would really like some of his corals since i hear so much good about his livestock.

Anything that wont be too delicate, mostly soft corals. Im barely starting my reef and im not as experienced as most on here. Tank is ready for corals, basically i saw no cycle(i used live rock from another member and it was out of the water for only about 20 minutes so not much die off) I have 130 watts of pc lighting, i want lots of colors but without having to go into sps. I was told i should be able to keep softies, and some lps corals. I want some frogspawn and some zoos but aside from that im still trying to find what would work.

Very Sorry to See You Go!

Very Sorry to See You Go!

Menard, you were the first store I went to when I first started the saltwater side of my aquarium hobby over a year ago. Based on the reviews I read about your store at the time it was a no brainer. I was amazed when I first walked in and saw what you had to offer. When I was there last month and you said business was slow I did not see the writing on the wall. Though as you said today when you pointed to your computer screen and said "I'll still be on RC". That at least gives me optimism that the hobby still gives you joy. Your advice has been priceless and I wish you the best.

If anybody wants to get anything you better get there fast. When I was there at 4 on Friday afternoon everything was getting snatched up pretty fast.

Menard, up until the time you close your doors forever yours will still be my favorite of all Chicagolands coral dealers.

Thanks,
Andrew

thanks for the colonies today menard! sorry to see you go. all but one of my frags are from reef dweller. back from when i just had the nano!!!

Hey Menard, thanks for taking care of me today. Frags are in the tank and looking good!

Thanks again and the best of luck to you!

Adam
