Reef-Filler Dosing Pump

Just pulled my first test water through this dosing pump today as I got the last fitting I needed to finish my install. FWIW, my concerns about this doser being noisy based on some of the comments on RC were completely unfounded. In my fish room, I can't hear this doser running over all the other "music" of water moving, salt water being aerated, etc. That being said, I would go for a quieter option if I were locating the doser in my living room or the same room as my actual display tank unless I had some soundproofing under the stand or closet where it would be located. Sitting in a silent room you would be able to hear it running but to what degree depends on many variables. However, I would think most people looking at this type of doser would be running it in a remote location. Not sure if the noise is more of an issue on the larger units as this is one of the smaller ones. Also, my Reef-Filler is installed according to the instructions as the recommended installation "flooded suction mounting" where the filler sits at the base of my reservoir. Don't know if this helps it run quieter. I ordered a small 3/8" bulk head fitting and 3/8" barbed nipple that threads into it from Savko for the supply line attachment to my reservoir, the unit came with everything else I needed for this installation. Just posting this for folks that may search this product looking for some advice.
