Reef in RI

Breathtaking corals Greg. Excellent colors and placement. Nice to see a fellow RI reefer rocking the SPS in epic fashion. If you sell frags let me know...Id love to get a couple pieces when my tank gets set up soon. Congrats

Hey Steve - Lil' Rhody!!! not sure how we haven't bumped into each other?!. Sure, look me up when your system is ready!! Thanks for the kind words.

Awesome display of beautifully colored acros Greg, really pretty SPS reef mate :)

Andrew thanks so much for the compliments! Means alot coming from you - There's not an Acro Hound on this planet that hasn't looked at your tank with envy (myself included!) The LFS around my way carries some spectacular goldfish and crickets... so yeah i'm jealous of you're Deer Park outings and live vicariously through your antics!! Honestly, seeing as many acros as you do and so close to the source you sure know how to pick them and can see through a pigment variation without a second guess. You could probably make a living just supplying us yankees with acros! keep up the great work, much admired and thanks again for the thumbs up!!

Awesome! Well done.

Thanks Perry, i'm still using AF Build, E, and Pro bio S, 3 days per week at 1/2 dose. I've recently been trying Polyp Booster (Polyp Labs). my system seemed to turn 180 degrees to better color and growth since adding the AF stuff maybe 9-12 months ago when i started. system seems to respond nicely but i resist the urge to over do it.

Cheers - Greg

Hot damn! Amazing shots.
We're gonna need a new fts.
The growth looks significant.

Hey Matt - one thing i fail at is photos --- but i will say the iPhone and a porthole is a very gratifying vantage point. my canopy doesnt really allow me to get eyes on the stuff from top down, its a whole new look...and easy enough to press a button!

i'll attempt an FTS but no guarantees!

Yes growth has been very evident, over-growth in fact in alot of cases. I've also been fragging alot lately due to shadowing and the opportunity to spread the wealth to other reefers. so i'm in a bit of re-growth mode, dealing with some alk/ca changes do to the amount of acro mass in and out of the system plus consumption in high-drive. my PE has been somewhat receeded as of late - not sure what to attribute this to other than stated changes, my hands and pruners all over the place, etc. i'm due for an ICP Test anyway so will run one soon.

Thanks for the props!!! -Greg

Well, you can't beat top downs.. even an iPhone in a viewing box produces pretty nice results.
Curious, what types of food to you feed the fish?

I have a D90 Nikon but have not acquired any skill whatsoever. The D90 for dummies book is collecting dust on my shelf. It's a shame because I really admire good reef tank photos.

I feed heavily. 9 cubes daily of Misys and spirulina. (3 cubes three times per day) If not these cubes I'll do chunks of Larrys Reef frozen. I'll do a 1/4 sheet of nori on the weekends.

For coral feeding i broadcast feed daily with amino (fuel or polyp booster) then reef roids. Oyster feast being my favorite but no one locally carries it so it's a treat when I get it.

I keep a lot of fish

I second the desire for frags if you sell them. I'm right over the line in Thompson CT. Would love to be able to check out your tank as well
