Can't wait to get together with everyone again after missing the last meeting. Sounds like we're going to have a lot to talk about... Congratulations Jon on your 8th Anniversary, and Alex belated congrats on your 6th... Eric and I had our 1st in June.
On another note: it's fixed now but I just want to share...
At Midnight last night I discovered that we had water coming off the bottom railing of our big tank. It turned out that slimey something was covering the output of the skimmer and the water was running to the top of the tank rather than inside it. It was streaming off the top and down the back and everywhere else. What a mess. I wouldn't have figured it out if I hadn't called Eric (he's in South Carolina it was 2am his time, he was a little crabby love you baby). My initial gut reaction was I was on the fast track to 225gallons of water in our living room, thank god it wasn't leaking.
DBR had power out for some time not to long ago; we should put up a Horror Story page on the site; any takers if I did that?

edandujo try to find some time our club is just starting and we are a bunch of nice people!! meeting is at my house this friday at 6-6:30 will last a couple hours you can drop in or out anytime. Looking forward to everyone's visit. pm for directions.

Had a great time last night thanks for hosting Peggy. Great food, beautiful house and gorgeous tanks. I have updated the site; to go along with our new name we also have an updated look! Check it out. Roy & Irene it was great to meet you both last night and we wish you a very warm welcome to the group. I posted my notes under "News" from last nights meeting. Eric and I topped off the kitty for the MASNA fund; we're there... I have the application and I'm waiting on a response from MASNA to clarify the fee schedule. It looks like we pay $50 to get started then we pay quarterly fees as follows: qtr1: $50, qtr2: $37.50, qtr3: $25, qtr4: 12.50 which comes to a total of $125 for all 4 quarters. Will post when I have more info......

Ok the dues are a straight $50 right now. The prorated portion is for new signups at different stages of the fiscal year. I feel silly now but it makes sense. I've got our application together and will send it in by the end of the week with a check for the dues.

So if I got this right. Its 50$ for a one year member ship to
MASMA for all the NMOK members. Not 50$ for each person.
Just 50$ for the club as a group. Is this right? I think?
At the next meeting we should take care of this.

DBR you've got it right. $50 for the club as a group. The membership application has been sent with a check for the $50. I hope to have our membership stuff by the next time we get together.....
