Reef Link not connecting

I have a reef link device that currently is showing an orange/green light, instead of the usual working blue ring. It's now about 3 days with that light, I already plug and unplug the power cord, which by doing this it usually worked in the past. Any ideas on how to get it working?

Avenger,

I would recommend following the steps below to reset your ReefLink and resolve the issue:

1. Power down the ReefLink
2. Sign into EcoSmart Live using either Google Chrome or Safari
3. Select the “Menu” button then “Manage ReefLinks”
4. Click the ReefLink icon then “Remove” and “Yes”
5. Connect via USB only to your computer
6. Open the ReefLink setup Application
7. Select “Format SD” from the dropdown menu
8. The ReefLink LED ring will turn white once complete
9. Select “Factory Reset” from the drop down
10. Select the “Setup” button to re-configure your ReefLink

Hi Alex. Thanks for the reponse. I did all steps above, then it prompted me to connect to the Internet. I first tried wireless option but did not connect to my network. I decided to go with Ethernet, but after a few mins it showed the following message: "Waiting for your reefLink to connect to EcoSmart Live..." and the a Try again icon with a "Verify EcoSmart Live Coonection - Error", same orange/green light still showing in the device.

Seems the whole issue is that the device is not connecting at all via Internet to the site. Not sure what else to do. Any other steps are appreciate it. Thanks.

Format SD

Format SD

I'm following the steps noted above.

Currently on step 7, format SD.

How long does this step normally take?

These things are garbage. I've tried three different reef links and neither one will finish setup. And Eco tech just wants to charge me to fix them

from what i am seeing a lot of the times when purchasing a used reef link the issue is the previous owner is didnt delete the reeflink from their ESL account or the correct USB cable isnt being used.

I had trouble with mine stalling until i plugged it in to my network with an ethernet cord. Then everything worked perfectly, and has been working perfectly since then.

I ALWAYS have trouble with wireless networks for stuff like this and phones etc. Sometimes wireless is just too much more of a hassle than a hardwire.

+1 Plugged, into router. Was not staying connected and got annoying to say the least. From what I've read these have issues connecting thru WIFI.
