Hey everyone, I was trying to build a bridge here and promote a connectedness. I hope everyone understands what I mean by this.

The reason for the link to the trade thread here was only for everyone's ease. Not to promote another place, not to promote commercial ventures.

I'm embarrassed by the happenings and wouldn't mind if this thread was closed.

I would not be embarrassed by anything on this thread at all. I hope my post didn't come across as snippy... I was trying to ask them a legitimate question. I see people's website links going to their home businesses and all sorts of things so figured if I consider a different website my home then there should (ideally) be nothing wrong with linking it to my red house and then I could just tell people to click on my red house for more info.

If that is not acceptable then cool, just thought it wouldn't hurt to get a clearer understanding of the way a mod mind flows.

Linking to personal website is allowed. If your personal website is also a commercial website (you sell corals) it is NOT allowed. Linking to other bulletin boards (aside from the official club's board) is NOT allowed.

There are thousands of members and thousands of posts at any time and there are only 20 moderators. We are not going to catch everything. If you see someone breaking the rules, dont just stand there... report them and we will take care of the problem. We rely on our membership to help us police Reef Central and help us maintain order.
