Reef octopus Varios 4 0-10V connection to Hydros controllers

I use a Reef Octopus Varios 4 return pump, and I am adding Hydros controllers to my system. There is a 0-10V in/out port on the Varios control box and am wondering about a connection to either Hydros Launch or Hydros Wave Engine. Currently, the pumps power brick is connected to a Launch AC outlet. What, if any, function could be gained with connection to a 0-10V port? Is there any benefit to doing so?
