Hey Everyone, Just asking the community that has had AEFW, does this look like any bite marking's to you?

After coming home from the weekend I closely inspect my corals to make sure everyone is doing good and i find this, All other corals are good, P.E is good,

It doesnt look like dead flesh, You can see White area's but its not actual WHITE WHITE when sps start's to have flesh die off..

I inspected the base for dead skin, but none to be found.

Ill try and get closer pictures up for ya'll. THANKS!

Ormet might be right!
Sometimes i get this too under my acros, doing of some snails or urchins which "scratched" the acros skin as they were passing by.

Those particular photos do not show what appears to be AEFW. Bite marks are round and usually multiple ones. Not one large area like that.

I agree with the other posters; that does not look like AEFW bite marks...at least the most regular ones some of us were unfortunate enough to encounter.

Do you see this on any other acros? Have you dipped any acros? If others show this...I would suggest removing from display and dipping. I found Acro Eating Spiders about 9 months ago on a frag I bought from my LFS. Not trying to alarm you or anything, but its better to know than guess.

Note though, your SPS do look starved with very thin tissue. If you dip and see nothing, I would commence 2 x weekly 15% water changes, along with lots of feeding. You can add some amino acid supplement as well. All that will help the acros become a bit more healthy.

Off of what Sahin said ^

Honestly could just be STNing because it's hungry. Up your feedings slowly or maybe even get another fish or 2

I agree not aefw. That coral looks pale and unhealthy I would say its straved as well but its hard to say from the pic. If your no3 is really low or undetecable feed more or add another fish or 2 as was said, good advice imo.
