ReefLink Capabilities

Lol, you guys are both correct, my post WAS totally meaningless. Silly me.

On a side note, i do believe that it'll be very beneficial for Ecotech to have a sale on the ReefLink just prior to the release of Apex Fusion.

Now that is a VALID opinion, lol

Not sure where certain information or perceptions are coming from but there's an assumption that's just wrong: Future products will not necessarily require a Reeflink to control them. Like the VorTech pumps, like the Radion lighting, all of our products are "smart" right out of the box and you have control for them built in. If you want wireless control then our product to facilitate that is the Reeflink.

Saying it's expensive and then comparing it to a control system that costs hundreds of dollars is a bit extreme.

What we are doing is unmatched by other offerings in this industry. Many companies use Bluetooth, IR, etc. Some products exist allowing you to set up local web servers that then require you to perform port-forwarding to access your products from outside your home network. No one else has implemented a cloud based control system (EcoSmart Live) that features endless upgradeability for the future and is designed with simplicity in mind. The Reeflink is your bridge to EcoSmart Live and EcoSmart live is the control platform for our brand.

Exo tech For The win
Ummm... not really. Using ESL still requires dependence on the Ecotech server. In other posts they said that they were looking for a company other than Network Solutions to house their server. Have they found one? What about tech support on evenings and weekends, or at least Saturdays, which is when those of us who work like to spend time tinkering with their tanks?

Because of ESL's volatility, I don't touch my light outside of Ecotech support hours.

Name one company doing a better job in this niche market.

My experience with ecotech customer support was great got a person on the phone In a few minutes almost every time. I do call during business hours but I don't expect they have a tremendous call volume and want to inflate their overhead to much

Extending their support hours could be achieved for little, to no cost, by simply adjusting the hours the support staff work. For example, have someone available Tuesday-Saturday instead of Monday-Friday. I would anticipate many more calls coming in on a Saturday, than a Monday.

more so comment related to 24 7 support. I would agree opening a Saturday would be more valuable then a Monday .
