Reefobsession 93 Cube Build!!!!

I am considering the same exact tank. My LFS said that it can be ordered with starphire. I'll be building a stand since I already have a sump and other items that'll need a little more room underneath. Interested in watching the progress.

Wow I had no idea they offered in starphire. I just decided that I would just stick with regular glass because I feel that I really couldn't tell the difference unless they were side by side. But you can definitely tell when they are next to one another.

All I can say is that I love the depth of the tank. I really am not regretting getting this setup over a 120.

I will probably get some pics up tom. Almost full, but nothing to really look at, The water is still murky.

Who knows I will probably go with a rimless in 5 years, so maybe I will just keep the stand and go with a rimless 30"X30"X24" tank. But not really thinking about that right now. :jester:

I will get pics up tonight. I need about 5 more gallons to fill the rest of the sump.
Total water in system after displacement is 75 gallons of water. I was suprised that a 93 gallon tank with a 15 gallon sump only holds 75 gallons of water.

With the Reefkeeper can you make your dosing pumps only pump for 1 minute at a time? I love how its all automated but I would worry about the vodka dosing automatically if it wasnt set up correctly.

I can do it to the second with the reefkeeper. Tkae for instance, if I wanted .5 ml of vodka dosed into my system, I would have my BRS doser which doses 1.1 ml a minute, dose for about 31 to 32 seconds. It is very easy to get a system like I have setup.

Finally, someone's doing a 93g cube build thread! Looking good already!

Thank you so much! I was going to post pictures today, but I got caught up in work and I need to organize my tank wiring and quiet down my sump drain. I am getting my skimmer and other vortech tom. So I will have a lot of updates.
Thanks all

Alright folks, sorry it took me a while to get some new pics up.
Got my skimmer today, I will be getting my MP20 tomorrow!! I got my MP40 going for the time being. I am pretty happy with the skimmers performance. After about 10 minutes it pulled out half a cup full of milky water. For the next few days I will be stirring up the sand so I can get all the dust out.
Here are some pics of the skimmer and stuff.

Here is a picture of my drain into my sump. It is completely silent and takes away all the gurgling noise that I was getting before. I just drilled a 1/4" hole at the top and it lets the air escape up from the tunnel and the water exits out the bottom tube.

And finaly a chance and relax and get some beer with my friends. I am the one with the larger glass. He was the DD. haha

I will get some more pics up of the tank as the water clears. AS you can see it is still cloudy.

Woohoo!! Water!!!

Keep it up amn!

Yeah finally:lol: It has taking a little while. I would hate to rush through it. Might as well enjoy every second. I still need to organize some of the wiring in the back. I hate when I can see a bunch of blotched wires. I'll tackle that tomorrow. I still need to get my lighting. I will be getting that next week. Going to have to hang the pendent. I was going to do a custom conduit light hanging bar, but it would be hard to get to the back of the stand.
Thanks all.
Forgot the pics of my finance and I, and my dog, sleeping is his job. haha

I, too, am considering purchasing this tank w/ the corner overflow set up.

Go for it! I love it. This beats the pants off my 72 bow I had.
Here are some pics of the skimmers skimmate.

Here is the skimmer poo.

I love this thing.
I got my MP20 today and got it running.
Everything is working great.
All I have to do know is empty out my skimmer and wait for all the dust from the rocks and sand to clear up. I will probably have to give my bubble blaster pump a vineger bath after all this crap that is going through it.

Great looking tank.

Thanks Rowe. I appreciate it. I really appreciate this after you told me to get the 120 rimless instead. I have no regrets going with this cube. I can't wait to get some fish and SPS in there.
I will be going with some picasso or snocasso clowns from Doni. Not for a while though.

water is really starting to clear up some. I have stirred up the sand a couple of times. My skimmer is working hard to make the water crystal clear.
I will get some pics up once the tank is cleared up.

Why does your skimmate look like a vanilla/coffee milkshake? lol

This project is looking good so far. I like the dosing pumps.

It does haha. It is all the dust from the base rocks and the sand. I didn't rinse either. I figure that since I han't got my tax return yet to get my light, might as well give my skimmer something to play with lol.
Thanks on the dosing pumps. I love those things. I would recomend bulk reef supply pumps to anyone.
D2 your tank is amazing. I really like your sponge collection, and everything else is great. I really think you perfected your setup. I havea log way to go, but I feel that is coming along well.
Thanks
