Reefobsession 93 Cube Build!!!!

Haha. That's what I said about my stand. It's not perfect, but it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. You'll do fine

How tall is the stand ?

Stand is 27" tall
It is only 23" tall on the inside. This is the only thing I can complain about. But they can't make the stand any taller because there is no way you could fit the stand in a normal doorway. Since it is a 30" by 30" cube. The opening of a doorway is 30", but with the door it only gives you about 28".

I took some 1/2 inch electrical metal conduit and bent it . I usedconduit staps on the back of my tank . I painted it black . I have vaulted ceilings so I could not use a current hanging kit . I did have to take the pendant apart so the hooks were front to back and not side to side .
Mind u I have the mini wide and u have the larger unit . If i used a larger pendant it would have been at least 3/4 conduit .
Ahh I see you have water in it already so it might be hard to get to the back .Is that a Ventura stand ?
My stand is homemade with two doors . It looks similar to a Marineland Montery .
Anywho glad to see a nice cube build . Urs look like it will turn out pretty nice .

Hey, thanks for stopping by. Yeah my original plan was to use the conduit, but now it would be tough to get back there. So I am going to hang it. When I move I will do the conduit. Do you have a build thread?

Yeah it is a ventura stand and it is pretty nice. It seems really sturdy. I originally wanted to build a stand, but I really did not have time. I would have to go to my uncles house to use his saw. PLus I really don't want to bother him, he is extremely busy with his business right now. tarted to hang my fixture last night. One of the dry wasll studs was brokens so I have to go back to menards. I am trying to figure out how much this pendent weighs. My sunlift kit is only suposed to max out at 22lbs. The shipping box said 17lbs on it, but I really don't know how accurate that is.

Allright I got my fixture hanging. I am just testing it right now, I will not have it hanging this low. I am just trying to prevent a disaster. I have a glass shield that and my mesh screen to prevent the light from falling in. It was a little nerve racking hanging it, but I feel it looks good.

I will have light tomorrow!!!:dance::dance::dance:
I will raise it up to 17" above the surface for the time being. I have my fingers crossed that the fixture wont fall. The dry wall hooks are 35lbs a piece, and the sunlift kit has a max 22 lbs weight limit. I was nervous that the lumenbright was heavier than that, but when I checked the fed-ex label it said 17lbs. So I am little relieved, but not completely confident. :hmm4::hmm4:
Once I get it set at the right level, I will turn the front sunlift around, so the nut is not showing.
And if you are wondering what the thing on the top of the pendent is, it is a level, just to make sure that the weight is evenly distributed.

hmm.. so when did aliens land and take your tank over?

Looks great man. Love Lumenbrights (even though they look like UFO's). :D That with the Radium bulb combo is going to look HOT!

(Please take all the above as a complement and nothing else!)

Ha ha it really does look like a UFO. I have no way to argue that. I take no offense to it. But I am going to tell my UFO to come to your house and for it to abduct your tank.:smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin:
