Reefobsession 93 Cube Build!!!!

that's looking great! You're making me jealous kid!

You didn't go with the Elos stand?

I would have but the guy I bought it from didn't know what he was doing and the tank overflowed getting the stand all messed up. The stand was made out of particle board, so water and particle board do not mix.
I am going to build a sweet stand. same look, but not particle board. I will do it in a couple of weeks with my uncle. I'll start a build thread once I build the stand.

Passed the water test. I am going to be making a stand in three weeks. Any idea on colors?
I am leaning towards
Black or
White

Well....white would be better for reflection, but black would be more aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks nugz! I am leaning towards black. I think that if i were to sell it that that color would get the best interest. Talked to Jesse from elos today, nice guy. I asked him if there was any way to buy a new tank only. He tood me no that the elos mini is only sold inackages. So that's a bummer. There is only one visible scratch with water in the tank and it happens to be on the front pannel. It is only visible if you are up against the tank. Other than that the tank is great! I am a profectioist lol. But this setup is going to be sweet.

nugz....I think he was referring to the stand's color, not a background color for the back of the tank.
I used foam cut to size and painted, then 3M velcro to adhere it to the top and bottom rims of the tank. Therefore I experience no light loss because it is a good .75" off the glass. Cheap, looks good and easily removable and doesn't rob any light.

ReefObsession....I recently bought a Marineland 83g cube myself and almost have it fully inline. Just need a skimmer yet. Water changes have allowed me to start the stocking already though.
I'd appreciate any new full tank shots of your 93g!

I re-read the post and I think you're right...sorry. Thanks for the idea of the foam though. I may try that.

So do you guys think that a black stand would be best, or go with a white one. The white ones are more popular with the elos stands.

I will get a FTS tomorrow with my phone. I am getting a camera soon. Ordering one tomorrow.

well here is an updated picture of my tank. I took it with my phone, so crappy quality.
I got to test out the elos skimmer to see what its' got. So far I am impressed. This is 24 hours worth. Not bad for the little guy.

my purple and green acan was giving me trouble, and I figured it was too much light.. just based on how it looked. I hid him in a rock cave and so far it's starting to come back. Slowly but surely.

Today, I ordered 10 pounds of marco rock for my elos today. I asked for some nice branchy pieces no larger than 6 inches so that I could make a nice bonsai scape. Can't wait.

I took some pics of my tank with my fiancé's new camera. It is much better than the last one.
Here is some pics. I will be building a stand for my elos mini this weekend. I got some sweet rock last Friday from marco. I will be working on the structure this weekend and next week.
