Reefpack 500 problems

hello to everybody!

I have newly installed a reefpack 500 and some problems with it: (My tank runs for one week now)

1. The 9005 DOC Skimmer within the reefpack 500 produces to much foam, after 10 minutes the resevoir is full, independent if I close or open the blue "air srew". How can I reduce the foam production?

2. The Filter 3166 witin the reefpack is unacceptable loud. Is there a trick to reduce the noise?

3. The osmolator behaves strange. The white upper safety sensor, although correct installed, beeps when it is in its lowest posission. I have to tape and fixed it in its highest position to prevent it from beeping. I have also the feeling that the magnet holder of my reefpack disturbs the free movement of that sensor.

Thank you for your advice!

Jo

1) The tank is new this will be solved soon with a couple more weeks of running.

2) Please remove the pump and check that the drive unit is correctly installed the bush bearing 3000.620 may have come loose. It could also be too much air in the pump.

3) The magnet holder on the filter portion must be installed on the lower nipples to prevent this. For the last 6 months the 500 has been made with nipples on the top and bottom, older ones have only nipples at the top but it is not difficult to glue a couple on. Let me know and I will try to arrange that they send them to you.

aha. So what should I do in this time? every 15 minutes cleaning the skimmer? the foam runs back in the tank or runs out of it :-)

also, please could you illustrate the hints for fixing the pump and the magnet holder? that would be very kind!

I will do my best to get some photos to you on Monday. Close the air screw as much as possible the cup should not overflow, if the cover is on properly skimming should stop when the cup is full.
