Finally finished the last portion of the 250 upgrade. Had a custom 35g acrylic frag tank made (36x18x12), with over-flow. ATI 24" 6 bulb fixture. All plumbed into the main system. Total volume is 300g. Some pics..

I have the exact same floor in my kitchen and laundry room. Fools quite a few people that think it's wood. Concrete slab floor throughout the house was our only choice, we like it a lot. Is your system on that type of floor? If so, hows that work out? My system is in my family room on the carpet and in March we are replacing the carpet. Instead of putting carpet back under the tank I was thinking of Tiling the floor under it with the wood tile? Whats your opinion?

Sorry for my delay to your question. I love my tile floors and wouldn't do anything different. Personally do not like carpet any longer. My wife changed my opinion on carpet & no carpet in the house now[emoji4]. And definitely with an aquarium it makes even more sense. The tile planks in particular look great & does fool some people.

My display tank sits on 18" travertine tile on top of a concrete slab. My equipment is plumbed through the wall into my office which is on the 4 foot tile planks. Both are porcelain tile (I believe). And are equally as good for the water & weight.

Hope that helps & good luck with your tank & flooring.

You scared me! All I saw was that first picture of the empty tank as I was scrolling down. Thought you'd lost all your fish somehow!!!

What a beauty! Love your tank!!!
