That's good to hear.

You mentioned that you might take rock from your current tank for the new one, and if you are, I would definitely scrub it to get rid of the red cyano-looking stuff off first. Moving it 'as is' into your new tank will just spread the problem.

i think i mentioned that in a previous post, but i got no response. what a drag that would be to add 5lbs of dirty rock to 100lbs of clean rock and end up with 105lbs of dirty rocks. i can almost see it now!
in about 2 or 3 months everybody is going to be answering questions on how to get rid of dirty red cyano

Melev i was definitely going to do that dont want that stuff in the new tank looks ugly. LOL chrismunn. I didnt get to do the sand yesterday was hanging out with some friends and girls!! I will add the sand today though will post pics

you had better not let us down this time! i was expecting to see a nice fresh sand bed when i woke up this morning! now i see that youve blown it off due to friends and girls. is that what its all about when your 15 now, friends and girls???!
i like how you added the "girls" part. you just had to tell someone right.
if you want to do it right, you would kick the friends out, and have the girls add your sand for you! thats how a real sugar daddy does it! ;)
NOW GET THAT SAND IN!

lol chrismunn No iam not letting you guys down this time just added the salt i will add some pics when the sand settles down.

the salt??? what are you talking about? do you mean the sand?
i thought you were going to do some before, during, and after pics? well, where are they?
you still have girls on the brain, dont you!?

As i said and as u wished here is the tank before and during the process will take a pic of the finial thing when everything is settled and in place

Before i have two heaters in there just to keep the water warm just removed one and put one down in the basement for know

I don't think I've ever seen a tank thread that took 12 pages just to get sand in! At this pace, we will aquascaping done by Easter (somewhere around page 36) and livestock by July 4th.

Okay, so what is the next step RT6? Are you planning on playing around with the rock in the tank, or doing it dry?

ok the next step is rock and the light i will probably brush a couple of pecies of the rock from my other tank and put them in there but i will start getting the rock and the light. I dont think i amn going to need anymore sand because a lot of it is pilled up in the front and in the back i think i should be fine

There are no powerheads in the tank at this moment. I will get the powerheads after i get the light and sand. But the powerheads iam going to use are 2 Korialias #3's. One on each side of the tank

Sounds good, but It might better to have them in there now just so you can get the salt mixed a little better and get a little flow moveing. You dont wont to create any dead spots in the tank. At least buy one for now just to get the ball rolling.:)
