I wouldn't add anything to the tank till you resolve the temp issue. Just hold off for a little longer. Does your Uncle that helped you not have a thermometer you can borrow from his tanks? or does he not have any set up now?

Do you think i can add the cleaner shrimp or should i hold off on that.
Inverts are some of the most sensitive creatures as far as stability of the system goes. Hold off on them until you get the system completely stable.

I'm still waitng to hear reliable info on what the acual tank temps are across the board. Course I've only been waiting for 3 pages. I should wait. :eek1:

Iam trying guys iam trying. I mean iam surprised i lasted this long with throwing a hissy fit. But this morning i came down to the tank and the thermometer read 75.5 and last night went i went to bed it was at 76.9. I think i am getting to wear i can have a stable temp in the tank. At night its a little cooler and during the day its 76.5-76.9.

Getting closer, but still get a new thermometer to be sure. Are you sure you have the heaters turned wide open?? They will not turn anymore in the direction to increase temperature?? Don't jump the gun just yet, you are almost there. Also for sure when the weather warms up don't forget to unplug one of the heaters!

Your making progress now you only have a little more temp to gain hang in there. Are you going to wrap the tanks as Melev suggested? That would be a very good thing to do to stabilize the situation.

Thanks papa johnny. Some new updates clowns are doing great and swimming around the tank. Eating as well. The heaters are all the way up cant even turn them anymore. I will get the thermometer tomorrow possibly if my mom takes me. I am definitely going to get something to keep the heat in maybe some covers and things. When the weather starts to get warmer i will unplug one heater and put it on when needed if needed. I want to add the foxface tonight but iam not sure if i am ready this would be another test fish because they are very hardy. I want to do this also because my sailfin has ich and i dont want him to get it before the new tank worrying about the sailfin right know. the sailfin is also getting very annoyed with the foxface because he is always near the shrimp for a little cleaning and the sailfin wants it instead. The sailfin has become a little aggressive to the foxface and thats why i want to add him to the 90g.

If you add the foxface before the sailfin that will help with aggression i would think. If the clowns are doing fine the foxface may but im no expert on that.

thanks kar i have heard that foxface are one of the most hardiest fish out there. In my book i read it says they can survive tank crashes. I think he will be fine. But lets get some more people's opinions on this. I think if i get rid of the foxface and put him in the 90 then the sailfin will not be as stressed and the foxface wont get stresses so i think its a win win.

Thanks from google. Just search small pictures of purple tangs and i found this one. You can find anything on google. I think i will be adding the foxface tonight but not sure yet. If and when i do there will be more pictures.
