reeftopia buy?

I would like to order the following and split on the lot items with someone, much cheaper that way

Blue Leg Hermit Crab, Micro +40 (100 @ .25 Each) will split this with someone if possible

Turbo/Astrea Snails +12

Golden Astreas Small +20

Nerite Snail {tesselatta} +20 (40 lot @ 1.75 each) need someone to go in on this.

Cerith Snail, Large +50 (100 lot @ .75 Each) if someone wants to split the lot with me. These are the best stails for algae on sand.

Also cczarnik, see if you can sweet talk them into shipping the items overnight. I was able to do that on a reefcleaners.org order. :)

Keep them coming. Looking like a good size order. I think we are close to lot on nems. My spreadsheet time was taken up this morning dealing with canceled flights- but I will get it up tonight. Not a good day to travel :(. Going to okc, I'm trying to work in a trip to zoanuts to bring some goodies back. Cool aussie stuff...

Is this going to be next week? I have to run to SD tomorrow so would like to get some other stuff too. So I need the cutoff day.

Here is v2: Did this in a hurry, everybody, please proof. Hit (or almost to) lot size for several things, incl emeralds, peps, and nems. We will need to round out the lots to even numbers (look at right column, red items). If anyone wants to help round, LMK.

There is an error on the Emerald lot price, they're $4ea, not $4/12. Will catch it next draft.

I would like in but will put in an order this evening if its not to late... Didn't read the cut off date. Call me if you need a order right away, I kinda know what I will need... :)

Delivery next wk if that will work, preferably thr or fri (you all tell me?). Will hold at fedx station in franklin, can meet some guys there, if you can't make it till later I should have room to float. Somebody will be home most of day and evening.

Angela no prob, I need to get order tied down mon for a thr or fri delivery.

You could probably ask them to give you lot prices on everything since its such a big order.

also you can probably upgrade Snail, Golden, Small (300 @ .30 Each)

all i need is (2) peppermint shrimp...just add me onto the lot if ya have the spares

just let me know either way

ok, some advice here please.

180g reef tank with 2 pecula clowns and a giant clam. Starting to really grow some brown and green algea. Time for some cleaners. Question is how many to start with?

I know I want some snails and hermits, and maybe a few emerald crabs(I like them). I saw their packages, but am unsure thant my tank is ready to support a mass of cleaners just yet. Advice is appreciated :-)

Thats The First thing you should have put in, and then you wouldn't have an algae problem! Clean up crew is the first thing you add to your tank IMO.

I would add water before the cleanup crew but that is just me :)

For a large tank I would get at least 50 of the micro blue leg and 100 ast and 20 or more nars v if you have sand.

Astrea snails have done an excellent job in getting rid of brown algae in my tank. They really like to be on the glass and smooth surfaces.

Cerith snails are probably my fav. kind, they clean algea on sand and rocks aswell.

Go ahead and get some asap, you will go through many cycles at this point, and a tank as big as yours you will easily support many snails.

I've added snails as soon as my tank was cycled and they have been doing great job keeping it clean.

I would recommend a variety of snails instead of adding the same kind. I'm assuming you have plenty of live rock.

40 Cerith
50 Astrea
30 Hermit crabs
20 Nerite

After a while you wont even be able to see them, they will be covered in coraline algae. Don't worry about algae levels, trust me you will have plenty of algae :)

Thank you very much. I knew I wouldn't see them, jsut a question of how many. It looks like the reef special #2 package is close:

75 turbo
36 cerith
12 tegula
18 Nassarius
4 emerald crab
75 Blue legs
12 nerite

+3 free peppermint shrimp :-)

I think you can get a custom package on the group order for half that price.

I think 4 emerald crabs and 75 turbo is overkill. JMO
