yeah, those flower anemones have got to be almost impossible to kill. i have one living in the pico under 24 watts and temps go from about 72 to 80 at times. :lol:
They wipe out all the fauna of a sand bed like horseshoe crabs do. They don't really thrive in a reef tank so it's just "wait for them to slowly die" situation. Not that other things we keep don't have shortened lives but they mess with the sand bed too much in the meantime.
looks like there out of stock on sand dollars but if anyone gets one pick me on up too, i got plenty of spaghetti worms in my sandbed to keep fed for a while
If Dr. Schimek says they're good then I'd go for it. I could have sworn though that when I had a friend offer to bring back a couple from Destin and I looked it up and it wasn't a good idea. I'll have to look into it again because they're cool.
He cautions to make sure of where they come from. Apparently they must be very sensitive to temperature. One from Destin might be a good candidate for a lobster tank setup where it could be kept a little cooler than tropical reef temps.
