Refractometer calibration

Hi, can I use 53ms calibration solution, to calibrate a reflective refractometer? The reason I ask is if I use it and adjust to 35ppt, then check ro/di water it won,t even give me a reading close to zero. It also gives me a tank reading that is very high compared to my seatest hydrometer. Any ideas?
Thanks Scott

I think I read that it has to be pinpoint brand 53ms fluid. You can try to double check it by making your own fluid with the recipe here and see if it reads close to the same as your 53ms fluid.

Most refractometers only require calibration at zero with DI water. If you are not sure that is accurate after that you can see Refractometer Calibration for additional calibration adjustments.

I calibrated mine with RODI water and then I got some pinpoint solution. I was off by 1 so your still better off with the pinpoint solution.
