Holy Cow,
We just got a refractometer from Fosters and smith. I will never use my swing arm again. My swing arm (when you could get the arm to move) was reading 1.022 - 1.023, Tested with the refractometer today and my sg. was 1.025. I love it. It is so easy to use. Should have bought one sooner. :rollface:

mine read 1.025 and w/refracto it was 1.030

Just make sure you calibrate it before you use it for the first time!

I just went through a similar revelation. With the same refractometer from Drs. Foster & Smith. Welcome to the club.

art - I calibrated it as soon as I read what I needed to do, then read my sg.

runner it is awesome isn't it. lol. it is so much easier than guessing where the swing arm is really sitting at and whether or not it is setting level. I love it.
