Refugium question, I think I screwed up...

So my understanding of a refugium is to have live sand, live rubble, some type of macro algae and limited flow...

I was just reading on live aquaria as I'm about to buy some cheato, and it recommends high flow...how could I miss that?

My sump is split in half, skimmer, bubble trap and return pump on one side...refugium on the other. I run about 1/3 of the water through the fuge side...

The only section of high flow is the skimmer chamber and there's no room in there for anything...

What should I do? I really want to house and raise pods for the tank.

Your macro growth won't be substantial if you already have low nitrate and phosphate levels. Massive growth typically means you have a significant source of nutrients.

Chaetomorpha typically likes to tumble but minimal water movement is fine.
