Refugium rubble?

Where do I get live rock rubble? Do I break up my live rock with a hammer or just put big pieces in my refugium?or is rubble sold at my lfs?

Your lfs may have it, if its not posted just ask.

You can just break up your life rock. I found a chisel works better than a hammer alone, but can just pound on it.

My personal favorite: premium aquatics, I think its about $2 per lb, and you can use the cheap shipping to get it. Mine came with a plethora (not too often I get to use that word) of life.

You cN use larger rocks as well, doesn't have to be rubble. But like Duvallj said, chisel and hammer works to break them down into sizable pieces.

Most LFS with Live Rock bins have plenty of rubble at the bottom. just make sure they shake it off, since it at the bottom alot of die off and crap settles on that stuff.

why do you want to add rubble to your sump? It will trap sediment and make it harder to keep your sump clean.

Like ek9 said, it doesn't have to be rubble, just small pieces. Mine isn't rubble but small pieces probably the size of my fist or a little larger. I would imagine you can find pieces that will work at most any place that sells live rock. If you are just starting out, I would go for the dry stuff or cheap uncycled stuff online.
