Regarding 2-6000 streams

Hi Roger,
I think I may have gleaned an answer from reading through other threads, but I figured you could confirm my suspicions.

I've decided to go with 2- 6000 streams at each end of a 6' tank, and I'd like them to alternate current (in the tidal effect). I thought I'd read that a single controller CAN control 2 stream powerheads, but wasn't sure if I needed a multlicontroller for the tidal effect.

I'm not interested in controlling more than two pumps and probably won't need a photocell, so just wondering if I can achieve my goals with a single controller

Thanks
Jeff

Tidal effect is only possible with the Multicontroller. The Single Controller with branch adapter only allows both pumps to pulse in unison. In general the 6000 pumps have a 4ft carry of flow so pulse mode is best on a 6ft tank. Tide mode would be best suited to a pair of 6100 in a 180. Though you would likely have to turn the pumps down as the flow carries about 8ft on this model and can cause the sand bed to stir and maybe to much for some LPS corals and clams near the pump.
