Doing a 12 minute fresh water dip is useful when the problem is parasitic in nature.
However, you have the other problems to contend with that might just be in addition to the possible parasitic one.
If parasites are evident, the seahorse will thrash around when first placed into the fresh water. (temp and pH matched)
You will likely also see dead parasites on the bottom of the container but may need a magnifying glass to see them.
Two other problems are the high temperature, and, the possible sources of pathogens from other livestock in the show tank.
