removed bta, injured mouth not foot, trouble?

so I removed my RBTA from a rock because I am in the act of transfering my bta's for a carpet. when removing it, I accidently injured its mouth...I have no idea how I did but I might have teared it a little. The foot was not torn at all and came off pretty easily after 20 min of a little influence.

Will this injured mouth be the anemones demise or will it heal. If it does heal, how long do you think it would take? I know bta's split and when they do they split their mouths so in that aspect I think the turnout might be positive.

BTW I think I have the smartest GSM's in the world, I just cannot catch them, even with half of the rock outta the tank.

I.m.o. it will be fine as long as your water quality is top notch. Otherwise there might be a chance of infection. They are fairly hardy anemones and as you said they do split via tearing mouth/foot. i would say it will heal up in a week or less. Keep a close eye on it though, and im sure you know not to feed it till it heals... nukes are bad!
