removing a carpet anemone

what is the best way to go about removing a large green carpet anemone from the rock it is attatched to? I want it out of my aquarium!!! it is getting sneaky and moving around and i am afraid that with it moving my fish are going to get confused and swim into it.

Is it attached to just a rock or the tank and the rock? What kind of carpet anemone is it? If its attached to just the rock..then sell the anemone with the rock it is on.

it is a green carpet- it is attatched to the rock only. I hate to sell the rock because it is covered in great mushrooms and polyps. it just attatched to the rock about a week ago when I moved it after purchasing the aquarium it was in.

Can you post a picture of it? I am asking because I might be interested in it. Since it is attached to a rock then that would make it more difficult to remove it with out damaging it. Maybe you could try moving around powerheads or removing the mushrooms and polyps.

sorry, the light over the nem- is awaiting a new ballast and i did not have it hooked up when i took the photo. it is 8-9 inches across when fully opened.
