Removing anemone from strainer

Greetings,

Had a bubble tip take a walk into the strainer on an intake of low flow canister style filter. I popped the strainer off and simply let them be at the bottom of a tank to sort it out while I'm at work. Any folks out there have any tricks for coaxing the tentacles back out. Trying not to chop up the strainer if possible.

what your doing is what you should do.
don't try to remove it from the strainer, you'll likely just damage it more. give it a few days and it should work itself back out.
but do keep your eyes open to brown jelly and scoop the anemone out and toss it if any appears.
