Removing pest from shell

Obligate Coral Killer
Hi All,

I have a 6" squamosa with a small aiptasia attached near the foot.

I have Joe's Juice, but am concerned that I might burn the clam if I'm not careful enough.

Any ideas on how to get the bugger off without damaging the clam?

I also know I shouldn't expose the clam to air, but would it be a problem to expose the foot area briefly?

Thanks,
Ed

there is no problem exposing the clam to air.

remove the clam to a bowl of tank water and just scrape the aiptaisa away, then take the clam out of the bowl and back into the tank, mantle down, turn it back up towards the light(mantle facing up, then back and forth a few times to remove any air)
