removing silicone

Whats the best way to remove silicone from an acrylic tank.I am removing the baffles and redoing them so they don't leak into the other compartments.

Once you get it started it will all pretty much just pull off, especially on acrylic. Also, wouldn't hurt to clean up the residue with some acetone.

I was thinking about acetone, but wasn't sure if it would melt the acrylic.Thanks for info.

Methanol will haze the acrylic. Acetone is just fine to use.
