Renton's Upgrade

I will let you know when frags are available, of course "you know who" has dibs on the first frag (hint he posted a couple posts up and has a fancy new avatar :))

Yeah, I think he's the owner of Dan's Chalice Emporium. From what I know, it's some type of museum with a circus of colors. :)

Alright, some new pics :)

Starting off with some pinks

Pink Panther (it is really encrusting nicely and growing well over the past two months, the white at the base is the lighting in the picture and not bleached)

Is that superman monti?

That monti is awesome. Out of curiosity, how long did it take to grow to that size?

It is a mystic sunset monti, I have heard it called other names pink flamingo and something else.

Actually, when I got that frag at a swap 1.5 years ago it was almost dead, only had 4 living polyps and was about the size of a pencil eraser. Growing really fast now!

Did a water change this evening and took advantage of still water for some top down pictures under the royal blue LED's:

Great Pics!!! What settings are you using on your camera?

You got some GREAT stuff!!!

love those blastos!!

I really like those blastos as well :)

I set the camera to prioritize shutter speed because otherwise the shutter stays open for a second + resulting in a blurry picture when shooting my hand.

Instead of messing with the other camera setting for white balance, I have found that using Lightroom for post processing to be much more efficient. Some people don't understand that Lightroom does much of the same functions as your camera does to white balance/saturation ect, just in a easier and quicker way on your computer. All pictures are processed, either by the camera and its software or on a computer using software. All this is assuming you are shooting in RAW format.

Is that the Highlighter Favia that you got from Bill a month or two ago? If so, I see what all the fuss was about, it looks amazing under blues.

It all depends on positioning in the tank and how much light is hitting it, and what the current settings are on my LED's. As you may know, blue LED's really mess with camera sensors.
