Replace PC bulbs or get LEDs??

Hello,
I have a 55g reef and a unit with 4 65W power compact bulbs in need of replacement. I'm wondering if I'm better just getting 2 of the 165W MarsAqua LED light units (about $40-$50 more than the PCs)?

I appreciate everyone's thoughts. Thanks!

You could also consider a 4 or 6 x 54W (48") T5 HO fixture. It could be slightly more economical than your PC lamps and produce more light.

Yes, corals. Nothing currently with too demanding lighting requirements but I'd like to be able to expand if I decide to down the line.

(currently: flower pot, mushrooms, polyps, leathers, etc.)

If you are thinking of expanding your coral selection, go big now. It will save you more in the long run. If think you'll want SPS down the road, get that light now. Many people are having success with the Chinese Black Box.

Go for the 2 16" lights and the SB lights are good. I should purchased those instead of the black box's. Now I have to upgrade my led boards with SB
