replace powerheads with wavebox?

Roger,

I have 5 Nanostream 6025s in a 50 gallon tank (36 x 18 x 18). This gives me a nice steady flow throughout the tank, but there is also a cluttered look. I was wondering if I could replace the powerheads with the wavebox 6215 ?. Also, any potential danger to the tank itself from vigorous wavemaking?

The 6208 is all you would need. I would still keep 2 6025's. The wavebox will work but the flow is different, it is a back and forth only without any real direction so you want to keep a couple 6025's. A pair of 6095's would probably be the least clutter.

As far as danger to the tank, any sort of surge or wave stresses the seams but if the tank is on a level stand and is a well made tank, it will basically take 2 years off the life.
