Replacement gig from LA

Well I just got my replacement gig from LA today. My last one came in smelling of death as soon as I opened the bag. It didn't even make it a day it was brown mush. I had my QT tank all ready for when it got here. The cipro pills are all ready to go. I open up the bag to see how bad it was. To my surprise its in great shape. I put my hand in the bag to pull it out to put in the QT tank. What does it do... Wraps around my hand and arm and gets to stinging me. Well that a great sign. So I went to pull it out and its attached to the bag like its glued to it. Another great sign. Well I thought about it for a few and then decided to put it in my display tank. There was no having to hold onto it because it had ahold of me when I took it out of the bag to put it in the tank. I placed it in the sand next to the rocks. It attached right away to the rocks. After about 5 mins it let go of me. Here is a picture of it in my tank. Sorry bad cell phone picture but that's all I got for right now until I find the charger for my camera that my daughter hid somewhere.

As you can see the mouth is closed up tight. This was taken less then 10 mins. It has been about 3 hours and its still closed up tight. But I am ready just incase I need to pull it out. I have the QT tank all ready to go with the cipro sitting next to it just incase. Well I have my fingers crossed and I'm hopping for the best. FYI yes I know I have cyno. Its starting to go away with 10 gallon water changes everyday.

Well I guess I was wrong you can not see the mouth is closed up tight by the picture but it is.

Is that a Gigantea or Haddoni. Looks more like Haddoni but if there is a question, Piture of the column near the oral plate would settle the question.

Was that out of the Divers Den section or just the regular LA website?

Just the LA site. I got one of the ones from Divers Den but it died the same day that I got it. I got the credit for it then they showed up on the regular LA website so I grabbed one of them as a replacement for it.

Quick Question - all I ever see for sale on LA is the brown colored gig. Is that what you ordered or was a color choice available? Oh and what size is the one you received? thanks in advance

It was there large tan. I can't say for size until a couple of days have gone by and it has relaxed from getting shipped. But in the bag and right now I would have to say that its a good 9"-10" wide.

Well its been over 24 hours its been in my tank. It has almost doubled in size and its starting to look really good.

I would have to say its got some great color for being said "tan".

The so called tan color is kind of cool. The outside is almost a teal color while the middle is green then around the mouth is lime green. So I wonder what color it will turn out after awhile?

I know I have seen a few of them that looked like a little of both of them. Plus my other gigs were never as sticky as this one is. But I have had haddoni's that are sticky like this one. Plus it has the folds like one.
