Here's a Better shot. I'm not going to disturb the fish at this point by moving around the rocks to prove anything to you. Believe me or not I don't care. I don't appreciate being called a liar.

If you look closely you can see the tail and the reflection of it on the glass. If you call this photoshop then you're outta your mind thinking I would waste time doing this. Sometime I wonder why I even make these posts like this.

You're responsible for your own credibility, and under your care it's been taking a beating here. Adding two distressed fish to an uncycled tank after repeated warnings sure doesn't help.

Yeah I should stop making posts like this. I will only post about my 150xh project now. But people who assumed the worst and called me a liar should be ashamed of yourselves.

Thats enough Tom... I would PM those of you that are being helpful and forget the rest. First your not real and now your a liar... Great bunch of adults.
Continue with the 150 build and the progress. You are doing great, I hope you can help revive the two goby fish.

If you received a stressed fish, a concerned hobbyist would setup a small quarantine (which itself would already have to had been cycled) to watch the stressed fish for a few weeks. You would nurse it back to health and then add it to your aquaria. Any sick or dying fish should not be put immediately into your display, especially an uncycled one.

PCS- Rescuing something from PETCO only perpetuates the cycle. Sad as it is, you can't buy anything from them regardless of what good thing you think you are doing. All it does is make the sale in their mind and now they can order another one to sell...

As for it better off in an uncycled tank... I GREATLY disagree. But this is just my opinion, don't need harsh words in retort. Slow down buddy, I promise you'll have it all in due time.

Better than letting them die in vain. I don't argue any longer. Think what you want. Both fish were practically dead. The one at petco was bellied up. Better in here then there.

I know dude but would you just let the fish stayed at petco? They said he wasn't even eating. I put him in my tank and fed him mysis shrimp and he ate them all. He would have been a goner for sure at petco.

well it may appear that I reacted to quickly but following all the other posts it just doesn't seem logical that one would receive to rescue fish in a days time . and for that I apologize .

Believe me I know the heart wrenching an emaciated fish or what have you can do to you, but Petco doesn't look it from your perspective. To them it's just a successful sale. Sadly letting their livestock parish is the only way for them to realize that live fish sales(specifically marine fish) is not a viable venture for them. I know its REEALLY hard to look at them so helpless but you gotta understand the hard truth of it. Please don't take these words the wrong way, I feel we have established I am trying to be helpful in your build thread. But your placing fish in a noncycled tank is worse than leaving them in the established, all be it nasty, systems at petco. Of course this is relative, but still it is true.

The fish was free. I'm not sure that really perpetuated anything. All they did was lose money on it.

Thank you. I really appreciate the apology. It was just miscommunications. Lets all be adults and end all this drama.

I understand completely. If I disagree and wanted to avoid everyones advice and all this drama I would have not even posted this at all. But the fact of the matter is that after only a couple of hours the fish is already doing much better and it's eating really well! Bellied up hanging onto its last thread for life to living a tad better!
