Resun Waver-15000

I agree with Hippies comments. It seems that just as the pump begins to move a critical mass of water it kicks down to the lowest setting. If it would just stay on high for another 30 seconds it would be able to provide better flow in larger tanks. I'm seriously considering just splicing the wires and bypassing the contoller.

Do it. Then tell me if you broke it or not :) .

Can you increase the time for the higher settings?
You can, just not as much as I would like to.

While it is arguable if it does anything the whole point of these DC pumps is the pulsing.

I wouldn't call it a disadvantage because it is doing what it is meant to.

There are plenty of options for non pulsing pumps.

That's true. The pump does exactly what it said it would do, I just wish the lowest setting was a higher gph. But, so far, so good. I was able to take off one of my panworld pumps, saving about 80W and getting more flow. I'm thinking about getting 2 more if this one holds up.

Mine has been running continuously for the last 5 or 6 days, so it looks like I may have worked through the issues I was having.
I'll add an update in a few weeks if it's still running strong.

Yeah cheesy bracket, very similar to the cheesy Tunze bracket I have.

you spent enough $$ to buy a tunze and didn't fork another $30 for a magnet?

How can any company justify $30 for a magnet??? All you have to do essentially is encase a rare-earth magnet in acrylic and attach it to a cheap plastic bracket.... and apparently that costs $30. (consider that the new koralias come with magnets and the low-end one costs little more than $30)

Because that company's name is Tunze :)

You spent enough money on a Tunze, why should you have to pay another $30 for a good way to mount it? You think they would include that in the price.

For the money I would spend on Tunzes, I would expect a good way to mount it to be included in the price. Nothing like shelling out a but load of money for a power head and then having to fork out a little more to mount in effectivly.

Settle down EAGLES, good golly.

I don't hate Tunzes, never said I did either, so don't know where you got that from. Please don't imply that I am a hater of Tunze!

All i'm saying is that if i'm going to spend that much money on a powerhead(s), I shouldn't have to pay additional money for a magnet to mount the powerhead properly.

i'm in no way upset...you guys sure like jumping to conclusions, lol
takes a whole lot more than somone disagreeing with me on the internet to get me rattled ;)
i just see the same people post about how much tunze rips people off and how they are no better than maximodds and from the 'same' people usually.

i don't even use tunze currently
