What do you think the max flow is, in your estimation?
Probably little less than Tunze 6100. Power consumption per Kill a Watt low=8w, med=15w, high=30w

QT--- Have you bag tested this? The larger output opening would definitely make it feel like it's not putting out as much as the Tunze 6100 but I'm betting the flow rate is comparable if not more so than the Tunze.

Also I bet you can swap out the propeller if you really wanted to :) Might have to destroy the stock prop in the process but I bet you could.

How can you bag test a pump that takes less than 1 second to fill a gallon bag?

Use a 5 gallon bag ;)

Well I got one yesterday, and I think it is definitely doing as advertised. I would say it is at least as strong as a 6100, just a wider pattern. The controller is simplistic but well worth the money in my opinion.

Yeah, that orifice is quite large. These seem like great Tunze replacements by a decent company.

I think I'll wait until I actually have a large enough tank to use these and also until they are actually supported/sold here in the U.S. by the likes of MD, PA, Dr. F's, customaquatics, etc...

Peace,
John H.

Well, I just ordered one; should be here in 7-10 days. I'll let you know when it comes in. It just seems like too good of a deal not to try *knocks on wood*. I hope it's not too much flow for my 120 gallon.

Click on picture to see the video of it in the tank, one full cycle is about 45-50 seconds,You can see the highest flow right before the end, It's pretty quiet.
Btw, I'm fabricating a new shroud to make it 1" shorter. :)

I got mine yesterday, which would make shipping about 6 days to the east coast.
The mounting bracket is pretty cheesy and the pump is fairly large in size, but overall I'd say it's definitely worth a hundred bucks.

Hippie- I've got mine running in a 120 along with a modified maxi-jet 1200 and I'd say the total flow is just about where I want it.

Yeah cheesy bracket, very similar to the cheesy Tunze bracket I have.

Thanks for posting the vid, but your pump makes really odd noises. It's making noises that sound like little kids talking about pinching butts, LMAO. Is that covered by the warranty?
