Return fitting broke

the return fitting leading from my sump pump to my overflow underneath my tank snapped off today. Fortunately I turned the pumps off before it happened. Anyone know where I can get a replacement fitting?

I think I found it.

Gosh that such a pain. Spending 2 days working on the fish tank, and finally I get to the last thing and this happens...

ok I'm a little confused and IDK which one it is, if any.

My overflows I got were the Mega Flow accessory kits.

The part that's broken is what my return pump hooks up to..

Do you know the hole size I have a few of them

If it's glued you will need a 3/4" bulkhead and a 3/4" slip fitting to 3/4" hose barb adapter. If screwed in than you need a 3/4" MPT to 3/4" hose barb fitting. Lowes has them (not the bulkhead).
or
you can replace the bulkhead with one that is manufactured with the hose barb.

Looks like alot of tension on that tube. Nows the time to replace it with pvc.

you can get the parts from HD to make it work you will need a fitting to screw over the threads then they have gray barbed fittings that screw in to the other end of the fitting you screw onto the threads you broke off you may even find a barbed fitting with big enough female threads to screw onwith teflon tape of corse hope this helps

instead of replacing the entire fitting do you think I can get an adaptor fitting that hooks up to the part taht didnt break off.

The fitting goes from 1 1/4" to 3/4"

The hole size is 2".

I have nothing glued.

Right now I am using hosing for everthing. My returns and my drains. Should I use PVC instead?

Didnt think I would, but I gotcha.

I was thinking of either doing this or replacing the entire fitting (is it possible to replace the fitting?) Which is the better option?

Also, should I just replace all the hoses with PVC?

hoses are quiter and I would go the hd route

well the HD route didnt work.
The threading that is left on the pvc under the tank is thinner than normal threading . Great.. just great.

I guess I'm going to have to replace that entire piece which is NOT going to be easy.

it is a bulkhead and I may have one but it might be easier to order it not hard to replace

or get a bigger hose that will sile over the threads and either glue and clamp or teflon tape and clamps good luck then just use HD peices to reduce to the size you need

Yeah I'm just going to replace it. I called up AGA and left a message.

Its just kind of a pain because I've got to drain the tank so that no water is flowing into the overflow, then I gotta drain the existing water IN the overflow.

I also remember putting it together in the beginning and it was just a PITA.

Whatever though. I've got to talk to AGA anyways about replacing the cabinet hinges that are rusting.

Any update as to when I'm able to grab the bulbs from Steve?

Is it the part with the 3/4 in barb that you hook the return pump up to for a 210g tank? Is it the entire piece that drops down through the hole in the overflow?

If it is and you dont need it, that would be a life saver.

it is a bluk head fitting like the one in your photo it is barb on one end and a slip fittting on the top for the return tube

Ok well I'm going to see how things work out with AGA (I need hinge replacements anyways). If something doesnt work out than I may grab it from you.
