I just set up my two tanks(135/60). They are linked by a common sump, and I have an Iwaki MD70RTL for the return. I don't have the ability to have a basement sump, so everything is under the stand. After I filled the aquariums it was finally time to start the pump(working on build for 9 months). Of course it sounded like I was at an air show. Reefs are suppose to be relaxing and I don't want to wear ear plugs. SO does anyone have any recommendations on a QUITE return hopefully similar power to the Iwaki(1500gph)? I originally purchased the Iwaki because I have read they were quite, but I now realized that it was for the 40RLT and smaller(they don't have the fan). I have an Iwaki MD55 too I was going to use with a Ocean Motion 4 way, but I may reconsider that pump too. Lol.
