Returning to reefing

Hi guys

I am returning to reefing after 6 or 7 years....

I just wanted to Say hello and I am so happy to see many long islanders into the hobby. I dident know this when I was doing my tank way back.

Boy Do you forget alot after this much time passes. So forgive me if I ask some basic questions in the next few weeks.

I am starting back up with a JBJ 28 Gal. Nano. My 125 still stays in storage.

So as my first offical question, were can I find out more information on LIRA?

You'll probably find that most of what you have forgotten is obsolete anyway. Things have changed some over the last 6 years.
Don't hesitate to ask questions, even the basics.

no, of course not. Tim Hovanec is: arguably the most well known microbiologist amongst reef hobby people. He does work with nitrifying bacteria, and is associated with Marineland. Don't know him personally and I haven't heard him speak, but I have been doing some work with marine bacteria at my job (believe it or not I made algae beer the other day ) so it should be interesting.
