Great colors Jonathan. I really loved the special way you put the frags! It makes your tank to look pretty and natural as if it was a real ocean reef.

Thank you teo.. Using Tonga branch, when you can find it these days can really help make a difference with aquascaping.. I have some more Ideas, but no tonga to execute them just yet.. Thanks for checking out my thread.. I've seen your tank and it is really amazing!

Its really filling in nicely man. I'm kinda scared to bring it up but I didn't see Mr sohal

Dude, He was a terror!!! and had to go. LOL.. A buddy of mine came and got him for his aggressive tank.. He'll be much better off there. Not sure what's next... As for the tank, it has really taken off in terms of growth since I got my ph up. Can't wait to see the progress in another year's time..

Glad to hear he's ok. That's cool that the kalk is doing its thing. I will have to give it a shot in the future.

With him so use to eating from my hand, it was really easy to get him out.. As for the kalk.. Definitely give it a shot if your PH is surpressed and other options like keeping your windows open are not viable.. It does not get easier than this and very little risk since you cant over mix the Kalk. I have yet to turn my CR back on due to the ALk spiking over 10dkh, which is a no-no for carbon dosing. A bucket, an 11.00 aqualifter pump and and auto-topoff unit make it vitually thinkless..

Jonathan,
Thanks for the response via PM. Your tank is awesome; the frags on the tonga braches look great, once grown in they'll look even better. As mentioned before, I hope to setup a peninsula 180 within a couple years (think I'll go with 60" 8x80 ATI). This is an inspiring tank for sure.

EvMiBo,

You're welcome & Thank you very much for your kind comments. That tank is going to be awesome.

What's funny is that when I look at the tank, it doesn't seem like there is much in there until I start writing it down.

Here are a few lo-res pics from earlier tonight:

For those who have lost faith in copperbands.... About 2 months ago I hesitantly introduced a copperband to my tank.. this was my second attempt. The first one although eating in the store did not workout.. At the time, my Achilles harassed it to the point where it just stayed in one corner until its demise... A few months later, a good friend (jzdad) picked up another for me from an LFS.. This one was larger than the last and was not eating from me, but within the first few hours in the tank, I noticed him picking at the substrate.. Turns out, he was actually going after the really tiny apstasia. He eventually graduated to the medium sized ones and then jumped on the larger ones... about a month in, he started eating mysis, which was great because he is now in maintenance mode with the Apstasia!!! I do notice him pick at the few LPS in my tank from time to time, but not nearly enough to cause major damage... It's a great feeling to look in the tank and see no Apstasia and not have to worry about them getting to close and stinging my SPS!

That is awesome. Im looking for a way to control my aptasia....I've hesitated to add a copper band because of my yellow tang and the fact that I have zoo's,clams and lps. Do you have clams or zoos also?

I have 3 clams and acans, but no Zoos. I dfefinitely understand your concern there. I havent seen him pick at the clams and no sign of stress so far. I make sure I keep him fed well to help.

Thanks :) I wish I could get my hands on some more Branch rock. Very Hard to find the stuff these days..
