Yeah I just took pics of my tank tonight with my evo and jesus the colors are perfect! My $900 camera cant do that in auto, ***?

No no, I dont use auto, my pictures suck with me in the drivers seat! Im a man, I can handle it. I was just saying if I put my good camera in auto and took a pic then held it next to my phone camera pictures its clear the phone wins! Stupid if you ask me.
LOL! It's crazy isn't it. . I just learned how to use the aperature priority settings on my DSLR.. So, I get the proper exposure. However, I still have to use sofware to strip the blue hue that the APS sensor picks up from the T5s.. I honestly think the optical sensors may be a bit more polished on some of these mobilie devices.. Maybe not as far as pixel count or share resolution goes, but color rendition...Most certainly! I would love for a photography head to chime in on this..

Me too. I just posted my cell phone pic in my thread. The focus is so tight it doesnt pick up the WHOLE picture but it gives an idea of what were talking about. So very strange. I wish I had a dslr, but I went for video quality over picture due to my son.

But I guess it's the simplicity that attracts us all to mobile phones.
I guess the DSLRs can really beat these mobile cams once you get the hang of it and learn more n more. Its all about practice, trial n error and finding that ideal setting to get that national geographic quality pIc with ur DSLR
The Galaxy and the iPhone 4S have much improved cameras and can take really good photos. They are very effective in taking FTS.
But I guess it's the simplicity that attracts us all to mobile phones.
I guess the DSLRs can really beat these mobile cams once you get the hang of it and learn more n more. Its all about practice, trial n error and finding that ideal setting to get that national geographic quality pIc with ur DSLR

Well those are FAR nicer than the evos pics! Helps to have a tank like yours to photograph too. Well we turned our phones back in yesterday. We just didnt have good enough service in our home. Missed a lot of calls and that aint cool. SO we will likely end up with either the iphone or the samsung now that we have it to do over again, but with verizon again. Its terrible that it costs so much more for verizon, but having service is worth more cash I guess...now that its been a week since we talked about phones, is there a new one out thats better? lol

Thanks RN... You can't beat SLRs when it comes to flexibility and quality, but they can be a as challenging to learn as this hobby of ours in order to get to the point where you know exactly what lens to use, what aperature, what fstop... its a challenge to me, but I won't give up. I'm just dumbfounded when I see how the much cheaper optics and sensors that they put on these Mobil devices capture images in such true to life color and sharpness. It just amazes me is all. LOL!

D, you know the only thing we focus on is colors in this hobby! LOL... My shaky hands will never get really sharp pictures using this phone. LOL!

We ordered the iphone 4s. Just came down to what fit in my hand and didnt irritate me to have in my pocket. Siri is neat too if your my wife! awesome gimmick, sold her in 2 seconds once the salesman pushed the button and said, "wheres the closest place to buy shoes?"!

Cool Beans.. The IOS on the iPhone is a very nice & user-friendly platform that's stable. My guess is that you will grow to love it like myself and so many others have! If not, that means that you're a closet tech head...like me and and ANDROID is what you will eventually end up with! lol... Great tool for the wife..... Not such a great tool for your pockets. LOL!!! Looking forward to the pics!

beneficial is a vast understatement. I have told allsps in his thread that I feel its the only way to have a marriage in the current day hold up. I feel that with men and women having no hierarchy of needs anymore that there is nothing to keep checks and balances on two individuals wants and needs. I mean both my wife and I make good money almost equally so its not fair for me to tell her that we need to save money instead of buying shoes when I go out and spend $100 on a 1/2" piece of skin covered skeleton!(not that I would) SO we are able to split our monthly expenses down the middle so that we are left with equal shares of what we have left and therefore we have no right or reason to gripe at the other for spending whatever on whatever...our needs are met and our wants are checked by ourselves which give a welcome sense of freedom to a ball and chain lifestyle!
Also, for those wondering what youd do if you make significantly more than the other. When this was the case while my wife was climbing the ladder, we split our incomes in a prorated manner. We took our incomes as a percentage and divyed upthe needs first on a percentage of income. If she made 20% of the money then she paid 20% of the bills and was left with the rest of her income as spending or saving money(I laughed a little saying that). Sure thats not truly fair to both parties but its the best way to feel equal in an unequal situation and not be trying to pay less and get more on the other end.
THis has been the number 1 reason my wife and I are still my wife and I! Wed have sunk at about the 2 year mark had we continued to share finances. And we were.
