reverse flow

My tunze 6045 are from time to time putting out reverse flow, is there a way to fix this?

Check the washer is in place at the bottom of the shaft and that the shaft is not loose. If the problem persists PM Roger for a fix.

Can they be placed on wave timers?

As Graeme said, the usual cause of this is a worn disk or drive unit so the drive unit sits too low in the electromagnetic field.

They should not be used on a wavemaker unless they can be run with at least 15 minutes between off and on cycles, rapid on and off will shorten the pump life dramatically.
