revised my website

Reef Bass

colors and textures
I reworked my website to be easier to use and to add partial page updating. Now when one clicks on a thumbnail image, only the image area changes and there's no giant visually jarring page reload.

For those who care, it's a .net 4 ajax site with MS SQL database, coded in C# and LINQ.

Please let me know what you think about the new look and functionality.

Thanks.

Had a look at your site Ken and it looks great. Very smooth transition between images and as usual the photography is great.

Very Nice Ken
Page works great in Firefox 8.0 and IE 9
and of course your photography is outstanding

Thanks very much. I appreciate and value your input.

And thanks for testing in FireFox Guy!

I confess I saw a layout issue on my Android phone (items being left instead of center justified). Fortunately I can live with that. ;)

Ken

Thanks Alex.

I just had a product idea! Submersible tank cam. USB connector, 10' cord, webcam in a waterproof ball.

I was thinking something less expensive that didn't come with a display and hooked directly to a pc via usb. I like your fish shaped idea.

Yup. And no ads either. It's like it's done by someone who loves corals and photography and just wants to share.

I may add a contact link, possibly.

That looks real nice Ken. Great pictures. It really helps a newbie get an idea of what's what. Thanks for sharing.

Good idea Tom, thanks. I could add an explicit statement of the settings for each shot, possibly on the image alt info when one hovers the cursor over the image. I could easily store that info in the database the site uses.

Until I get around to doing that, you can always use an EXIF info viewer to view that metadata on any picture that has it. I like the free Opanda EXIF viewer and use it all the time to check settings info on pics in my browser. I just right click the image and select view EXIF info. It's that easy.

Ken, check out the Go pros. You can get the whole set up for under $250 with water proof case, hook to PC usb, they have 3D now too. They are almost indestructible, I’ve been hunting, diving, spear fishing....tons of diffrent mounts too. It is the best smallest camera I have ever see.
I'll be going sky diving in the next few weeks with it!
