Ricordeas- spitting out food

Ive recently been feed my rics to try and increase the growth rate, I feed brineshrimp about 3 times a week, what ive noticed though on closer inspection is that although the rics really goble up the brineshrimp, the next day about 18 hours later they spit them back out and the brineshrimp they do spit out looks pretty much whole

Im wondering if they are actually benefitting at all from the feeding? is there a better food to try?

+1, the only thing mine spit out after weekly mysis feedings are more rics.

Sometimes my rics spit out food if the pieces are too big, or it's just too much for them to digest.
