So i have a ricordia that ended up coming off the rock i bought it on and ended up floating around the tank... How much i put it back on a rock? I was told not to glue it on a rock.. But how else should i attach it?

Just place it in a cup with some rubble rock and put it in your tank in a low flow area and let it attach itself.

I have used superglue gel before but it doesn't work the best for me, because the ric will slime and it makes it hard to stick

Have bought four small pieces and used superglue. You need to use papertowel to remove eccess water from the bottom. Glue is quickly with a small drop for each and your done! Back in the water in seconds..
Mine have grown and they are starting to split.

Best way I have found to get mushrooms to attach is to get wedding veil and wrap them close (not tight) to the rock and put it in a low flow area. In a week or two they will attach themselves to the rock and be ready for permanent placement. Works everytime!

Super glue does not work, id just let it sit on the sandbed and it will attach to the sand, then you will be able to move it to where ever and glue it...

I got a rubbermail and filled it with rubble and the ricordia still does not attach its been about a week.... Getting antsie now!!

Fill the cup to the top with the rubble and rubberband the ricordea down onto the rubble. Either that or get some nylon tuille (bridal veil) available at craft stores, and place the netting over the ric and rubberband the tuille to the cup so it creates a snug fit over the ric. I've used both methods successfully.

Just pull it out of the tank and put it upside down on a damp papertowel.
Blot the underside to dry it a bit.
Place a dot of superglue directly on the underside of the ric.
Dip it in saltwater real quick.
Repeat until you have a few drops making up a nice little mound of glue.
Place a piece of rubble on top of the glue, give it a little twist to break the glue bubble, and hold for a minute.
Place in tank.

This is how I do it, it's quick and easy, doesn't harm the ric and works great.
As you can see, my rics are nice and healthy.

You can also use a rubber band that is loosely wrapped around the piece on a rock.

Ive had this ricordia in a small rubbermaid with rubble in it for a month now and it still hasnt attached to any of the rocks.. The last recordia i had that i tried to glue to a rock didnt make it.. Im so fustrated about this ricordia because it is one of my favorite and very colorful.. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

I've never attached anything, but I was just thinking. Do you have it secured where it can't move? Have you been lifting or nudging it to see if it's attached?

Just a guess, but you probably need to leave it completely alone and not move it in the slightest amount for at least 2 weeks.

I am thinking it may not have been in a happy location as it shouldn't have decomposed regardless whether it was attached or not. The fact that it detached from the original rock might have been an indicator of that. I always put mine in a half clam shell with bridal veil pulled over it and a small zip tie for the loose ends. Full light on the sand bed. Generally takes about three weeks before I take the veil off. The local craft store has these 4" or 5" round veil pieces for some wedding purpose that work perfect. It has never failed me. Before that, I lost several due to not being attached. Sorry about the loss, but don't give up on them. They are some of my favorite shrooms.
