rigleautomotive's Tank Pics Thread

Man I gotta look into getting a macro lens. Awesome pictures.

I know... I feel the same way. Looking at pics taken with a macro lens is almost as good as looking at corals in person. Beautiful pics.

I wish I had those acros in my tank. Beautiful. I dont always post a comment, but always love seeing new photos you post up. Keep the regular updates and photos coming! :)

amazing zoas,amazing SPS,....everything is amazing!
congratulations!

Dan's tank is one of the most amazing tank! Colonies have incredible colors and growth. Truly inspiring.

All of the above.Thank you.You are all too kind.I see tons of room for improvement with both my reef and photography so its nice to hear the kind comments given that I am my worse critic

Here I thought for the longest time that your glasses were for reading... not REEFING lol!!!!

Yo dude, are you trying to leak one of my secrets.BTW did you get a pair and now see details you never had seen before. If so,great, now use those observations to tell if your animals are happy or sad, multiple times per day and especially when you are making changes and adjustments :)

take good care of my babies ;)

haha Dan great pics, you eased my fix for sure with the acros and bam another zoo right at the end... Im back at square one and need more acro photos... :)

Is that a blue and green tenius in the first pic? Whats Its conditions in the tank.. flow, light? Thanks

also why when I am running 0 tds after my rodi I fill my brute trash can and when i test the next day with pure rodi its 8 tds in my mixing container??? wtheck I wipe the thing down every time i empty it out.

the container is dirty, leaching or the air is dirty and the container is not sealed well enough(0 tds water is like a sponge and picks up air impurities easily).some brutes are not good.i am not sure which(research that if you will) but i use food grade white plastic 55 gal drums.excuse the caps, too lazy to fix,lol

Yes Kevin. Its a aqua-cultured blue tenius from live aquaria and it lives at the top in a strong wash of random flow and bright MH light. It is much nicer then the pic with the blues always being hard to capture and this coral is 20 or so inches from the front pane which adds to the difficulty to photograph.

thanks dan, I have the same or simmilar tenius and its doing well but appears a bit lighter than your picture so I was just curious.

Yea for sure, this one can go light or dark depending on alk and nutrient levels.for instance I noticed it is much lighter when the alk in the 9 to 10 range then when it is in the 7 to 8 DKH range and same with nutrients if PO4 is higher the say .08 or higher ,it appears a darker shade IME

Would you say darker in a good way?

Well a good way purely for our purposes. The fact that we like the darker pigments may or may not mean the coral is healthier in that state then the opposite. It grows well and appears healthy at either parameter range as they are both in the acceptable range .

Man those are lookin sweet. I would love to get my hands on that first chalice but I am lacking in the acro department and need to focus on sticks for now. Always a pleasure checking you're thread.
