I have a 4G Pico in my daughter's room that she got for X-mas last year. I picked it up from CadLights on Cyber Monday last year. I don't like the lighting because I can't turn on the blues/whites independently.

Are you happy with the one light strip?

I am considering picking up three of the EcoExotic lights either two blue and one white or vice versa.

Is this complete overkill?

Thanks Brittany!! It's a bit different from the 180 I had, but it's nice.

Terry, I only have two strips on the Arm light. One is a combi strip with two 12k white and one blue. The other strip is all blue. Considdering that I only have two whites powering the whole tank, I can't complain.

I don't think that your plan is crazy. I am thinking about adding one to two more all white strips. I think that the tank would greatly benefit from it.

It's a fun little tank. Very low maintenance and doesn't drain my wallet. Good stuff.

I was thinking about adding a Fromia star, but then began thinking about the large water changes that I do. Would this make an unsuitable environment for a sensitive star?

Subscribed. I just got the same tank for Christmas, and I like to see what others have done.

It's a cool little tank. I just ordered two all white 12k led strips from Ecoxotic. They should be here in a week if I'm lucky. I'm just hoping that I can aclimate my corals easily. Maybe one light strip for a week and then the other? We'll see.

I just received two more all 12k white ecoxotic strips. I currently have 2 watts of 12k whites running and 4 watts of blue 453nm blues running. By adding the two new all white strips, I will be increasing the 12k output by 4x giving me a total of 8 watts of 12k leds.

Despite these being little tiny 1 watt leds, do I still need to be super careful with introducing the new lights?
