Thanks guys! I'm waiting on my quote from Marineland/Perfecto. Maybe I'll request one from AGE just for comparison of the pricing. I'll also check to see if Glass Cages does smoked or black glass.

If you check glass cages look through the stock tanks first. I requested a quote for a custom one that was off by about 6 inches in length and width from a stock and the difference was almost $300. I will probably go with a stock one listed when the time comes.

SaraB, AGE will be much more expensive than glass cages, But then again, you get what you pay for. You could always try Aquarium Obsessed.

I can't wait to join the club. I'll be going with a glasscages because of my budget. I'll just have to clean up their sloppy silicone job.

Here's an updated pic of my Glass Cages 24" X 24" X 12" 30 gallon rimless - still young but up and running.

Thanks. I received my first quote yesterday and I've requested one already from AO and will do the same with AGE through my LFS.

i picked up a 120 tonite real cheap...it has 1/2 glass all around and is 4x2x2 dimensions. Its pretty solid. an old oceanic maybe? It has the wood grain trim top and bottom. I'm probably going to remove the trim on the top. Do I have to eurobrace? maybe just the sides?

I wouldnt remove the trim specially on an old tank. That tank was not designed to to be rimless. JMO

Whats the red coral behind the clown?
Its not a coral, that is a RBTA (rose bubble tip anemone)

Well obviously your taking a risk but i would think that if you eurobraced it your just replacing one set of trim/bracing for another. Who knows, it might even make it stronger.

After about 8 months of planning and building my 120 rimless is up and running. It has been going for about 2 weeks now.

If you have any questions about the setup feel free to ask. I also have pics of everything.

nicely done Brandon!....very clever idea regarding the Vortech cords :)
You should give some specs on your set-up, like dimensions (and my personal fav...glass thickness!!!:D ) and component selections.
any pix of your sump set-up?....
more detail is always fun so that we can learn from each others ideas!!!...
thanks for sharing and Happy Holiday!!!

Not sure if its the same tank but the one I am thinking of he had was by Visio . ( To get the edges like that most suppliers charge a little bit extra for the polishing )

Edit , When I say a little I mean a good chunk of money but not horrible hehe.
