Rimless Aquarium Club

It is softer, but I the clarity is so nice, especially when gettting into the thicker glass.
I don't use my mag float anymore. Just stick to a clean razor blade, and the white acrylic pad on the long plastic stick.

Well I might as well post a couple pics as I build mine.
Just got it in about a week ago and got it drilled out this week. It has a Starphire front panel, 1/2" glass, a 700 GPH GlassHoles.com overflow kit and 2 3/4" returns from GlassHoles.com as well.

No, not at all. It's pure white with a high par reading.

That picture is only a comparison of starphire (lower iron glass and regular glass) my new GC rimless I got last weekend has a starphire front. TBH there isnt much differance unless its against a white wall. Once there is water in it and light shining through you wont hardly notice the differance.
BTW mine is 3/4" glass and only the edges look green the rest is just fine.

I actually have two Glass Cages tanks sitting about 3ft from each other, one is a 40g rimless with standard glass and one is a 100g rimless with Starfire glass. Even though the 100g glass is thicker it actually is clearer. I really think the addition of Starfire becomes more of a must as the glass gets thicker.

Very nice mate, i really like that colour. I'm thinking of going to 8 bulb PM for my 90g and would like something similar. Do you find much of a difference in the colour of the Aquascience 15K vs blue special?

Thank you jamierk.
The only difference I can tell is that the 15K has a very litle pinkish hue whereas aquablue special is pure white imo.

Updated shot of my rimless from June 2nd. The Tunzes on the right have since been replaced with a Vortech. Oh, and I have added quite a few nice corals since last month. I will probably have an updated shot soon....

I am getting a rimless 48x18x20 soon and want a modern looking stand to go with it, something resembling an Elos stand. Can anyone recommend a manufacturer or a custom builder, where the customer is preferably in the Northeast? Thank you.

new to the rimless club! here's a pic of the setup with a temp sump.
