On a 30x30x20 cube which lighting set up would you guys choose

ATI 10x24 $1,100

Lumen bright pendant 250 watt Radium 20K $350

there is a $750 difference, and replacing the bulbs for the radium is gonna be $80 Per. year and with the ATI $240, is going with the more expensive ATI over the lumen brigth worth it?

I would do the 1 SE lumenbright......250w 20k radium. More than enough light....Not a t5 fan at all.

If I go with the Lumen Bright pendant I would have $750 extra to play with dawn and dusk LEDs... Not that I would use that much money.

I would do the lumenbright pendant and throw in a couple T5 actinics to supplement it. After the MH and the T5 supplement, you will still be around $500 under the ATI fixture. Just my opinion.

Well if your gonna supplement, I would go with one of these mh/vho fixtures. These fixtures are real nice. Vho actinic looks way better than t5, trust me. I bought my lumenbright before I saw these. I would have bought this for sure... This would look good hanging over a rimless as well.

The reflectors inside that fixture are a POS, LumenBright's, Lumenarc's and Lumen Max reflectors are much better.

For sure but they where talking about supplementing light. If your hanging a lumenbright over a rimless, where are the supplemental lights going to go? Theres no canopy on a rimless tank. The whole point of a rimless tank is for the look...They always look better when the lights are hung above.

You can build a simple frame to hold a T5 retrofit and the MH on.
I dont think that would look right with a lumenbright over a rimless but to each his own...

This is what my Dad and I built. You can add additional pieces of metal tubing to hold the T5's. We spray painted the metal and T5's black.

Rickyrooz1---Nice tank but that not a rimless. Thats a canopyless...lol
Thats a regular tank with no top.
Very creative metal work....nice.

I wasn't posting to show off my tank. I wanted to show my lights, it's not impossible to make a nice fixture to go over a tank.
